Lover of travel, cooking, reading, crafting, dancing, hiking, biking, camping, beaching, and anything else fun and/or social.

I also enjoy playing music with my labmate/roommate Blaire and our wide variety of instruments (if you think that sounds awful, you should hear us do karaoke).

Contributing to both my local and the global community is of great value to me. Some notable experiences include my time as a dancer in the Macedonian Folk Ensemble ‘Ilinden’, an Executive Member of the McMaster Meal Exchange Chapter, a service learning volunteer in Peru and Hamilton with MACServe, and a youth outreach volunteer with Let’s Talk Science, University of Guelph. Currently I work as a volunteer for Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis and Evidence 4 Democracy – I believe these to be extremely important and noteworthy causes, with both local and global implications, and encourage others to learn more.

As of Spring ’16, I am actively involved in establishing a University of Guelph chapter of Evidence for Democracy; please feel free to contact me if you are a University of Guelph student or Guelph resident who is interested in joining! Evidence for Democracy is a non-profit, non-partisan, national Canadian organization that works to advocate for transparency in government science, policy, & decision-making.
